The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) was established in 1952 and is a growing church with parishes in over 180 countries of the world, of which a little over 700 are in the United Kingdom. The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God is Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.

RCCG was founded in 1952 by the late Pa Josiah Akindayomi in Lagos, Nigeria. In the early 70’s God spoke to Pa Akindayomi about his successor, who, at that time was not a member of the church. In 1973, a young university lecturer joined the church and Pa Akindayomi recognised him in the spirit as the one that God had spoken about in the past. This man, Enoch Adejare Adeboye, who was then a lecturer at the University of Lagos, soon became involved in the church. He was ordained as the pastor of the church in 1981.

That Jesus Christ died on the cross at Calvary for the sins of mankind, and He rose from the dead in His Glorified body on the third day and He ascended into Heaven where He is seated at the right hand of God the Father.

It is a gift of God through grace and faith in Jesus Christ. That all who believe in the name of Jesus, may be saved by turning away from sin.

It is the infallible and authoritative Word of God, given by the inspiration of God to all men and women for salvation and direction.

Is available to all who believe in Jesus Christ, and is evidenced by the gift of speaking in tongues.

That baptism can only be by immersion in water as Jesus Christ was baptized.

It was shed for us on the cross at Calvary, cleanses us from all sin and grants us access into the presence of God.

Jesus will come again to Earth in glory and the dead in Christ will rise and those who are alive in Christ will be translated into the presence of God for eternity.
